Dawn grew up in Aberdeenshire and thinks of it as home. She has more than 20 years’ experience of community development in Aberdeen city and shire, both as a volunteer and more recently as paid staff working for one of Aberdeenshire’s Rural Partnerships. She completed her postgraduate diploma in CLD in 2017, with a special interest in resilient, strong communities – and is now progressing to study for her Masters. She has a strong commitment to supporting people in making the most of where they live. Dawn has an interest in making policy work, and making concepts like community empowerment and participatory budgeting work for local communities.
